BOOK Penna & Billi - LA STORIA DEELLE STORIE

This book was born almost by chance. A friend of the festival Francesco Zamboni, inspired by the image chosen to represent Artisti in Piazza 2015 created by Sonia Pazzaglia, spontaneously composed the story "The fantastic story of Penna and Billi", published here.

From this unexpected gift was born the idea of developing a contest based on the image of the two characters, who at this point had also acquired the names "Penna" and "Billi". The contest: "What's your story? What's your story?" saw the participation of a truly heterogeneous audience: adults, teenagers and children, stories in Italian and foreign languages.

The stories. while respecting the guidelines of the contest, they range from describing the festive atmosphere of the festival, to love, to the theme of war, or delight the reader with delightful puns based on the toponymy of Pennabilli. Finally, the illustrations could not help but follow this line of heterogeneity, so Roberta Briatico, Raffella Brusaglino, Patrizio Fraternali, Sonia Pazzaglia, Francesco Zamboni... chose and illustrated the stories.

The fruit of this multiplicity of energies brought into play is this book. A joyful, captivating book that well reflects the multitude of sensations that Artisti in Piazza releases.
